Hi, I’m Steve, nice to meet you.
I’m a Software Engineer living in the heart of Silicon Valley. I worked at Google from 2005 to 2010, and for the majority of that time, I was the Tech Lead of the Video Streaming & Storage team. I also spent time working on the Storage Infrastructure team, and on the Ads Quality team. You can see more at my LinkedIn profile.
Prior to Google, I worked at TiVo doing full-stack development, mostly focusing on middleware and architecture for Pioneer and DIRECTV products.
I attended Carnegie Mellon University for my undergraduate degree in Computer Science, and have been living here in Silicon Valley since 1994.
Today, I’m an entrepreneur working on Proovn. My goal is to radically improve hiring & recruiting for Software Engineers.
You can contact me via LinkedIn, Twitter, or Quora, and I’ll try my best to get back to you in a timely manner. Thanks for visiting!
I have been trying to build Enthought’s python libs and I get the problem with vcvarsall.bat. Would this be fixed using Visual Studio 2008 Express?
In 2008, you were kind enough to post an article about our California Solar Heat Map on your blog (http://slacy.com/blog/2008/02/cool-map-of-solar-adoption-in-california/). I just wanted to let you know that we’ve recently updated the map to include statistics from 2009 through 2011 as well. It is incredible to see the progress that has been made in just a few years! Feel free to check out our the updated Installation Map here: http://solar.coolerplanet.com/Articles/solar-energy-installation-map.aspx.
Have a wonderful day!
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks for sharing.
