Android tip: Sharing photos to Facebook and Picasa
A lot of the UI on Android is sort of hidden, but it’s really powerful. Here’s how to share photos to FaceBook or Picasa.
- Use the camera to take a photo.
- After taking the photo, a small version of it will appear in the upper right corner, tap on that.
- You should have a few options appear, one of which is “Share”. Tap on that.
- Select how you want to share the photo, each of which will have it’s own UI for sharing. I like FaceBook.
- Add a caption in FaceBook and click “Upload”
- Done!
A very similar process works for sharing videos onto YouTube as well!
I use both Picassa and Flickr for sharing photos over the internet but i use Flickr more often than Picassa.’”:
I did the steps above and it did not upload. Several attempts are now sitting in the status bar at 0% and I cannot delete them. What to do?
You can upload your photo directly from the camera using Micasa: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.imprologic.micasa.

You can share your photos on websites such as Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket, Photodom and Sualize with the Android based Photo Explorer app.
