OH! That brings back memories!!!
I have printed that test so many times.
I was so amazed the first time I printed it on a color printer and saw the mouse was in color!!!

In reply to "James says:"
I got my CD-ROM drive(and SCSI controller card) for 'free' when I bought Corel Draw for some amazingly large price(In the $700 to $1200 range)!

I still know people that use Word Perfect for Windows 8 because you can still do things with it that you cannot do with Word.
For that matter, there are things you can do in WP5.1 for DOS that you cannot do in Word.
Kerning is one of them... If there is a way to do manual kerning in Word, I for one have not found out how!
It's table features are still better than Word also.
Remember using QEMM to get enough memory to load all the drivers in upper memory, so you would have enough base memory to run your programs?
Wow... The good old days!
Weirdly enough, I just installed WPforW v8 on a computer today!

So fancy! Look how that graphic is right there with all the text, and it includes a caption! I look forward to purchasing this exciting product at my local WaldenSoftware or Egghead Computers, and the requisite hours spent reading the manual to learn the keyboard commands and markup needed to do a small fraction of the capabilities shown on this test page ;)

Now, let me find those $300 clip art CD-ROM discs to play in my $500 CD-ROM drive (yes, I am MPC COMPLIANT) so I can make a nice looking report! Oh NO. There's not enough memory to load the CD-ROM driver and WordPerfect. Farewell, I must reboot after editing my CONFIG.SYS file.

Looks like I'm the #1 result for "WordPerfect 5.1 Test Page" but Google hasn't yet indexed the PDF, so text from there isn't searchable yet.
