Looking for new drinks.

Here are my drink requirements:

  1. No sugar or sweeteners.
  2. Has Caffeine, but not too much.
  3. Natural (i.e. not made of chemicals and synthetic junk.)
  4. Tastes good cold.
  5. Less calories than Coke/Milk/Juick (i.e. much less than 100 kCal/12oz)

Right now, I’m stuck with Iced Tea, and possibly Iced Coffee, and I’m getting really bored.   Ideas?

Seltzer with a splash of Juice (cranberry, grape)

I do what Jim does… seltzer with almost any fruit juice ( no tomato ! ) is good. How about Yerba Mate ? Its like tea, but different…. lots of different brands at Whole Foods and other Markets. Try a few and see which brand you like. It has a kick !

If you can forgo the caffeine, water (iced if you prefer) with a good squeeze of lime (or lemon) is great. When you need the fizzy (eh, it happens, sometimes I just want FIZZ), carbonated water with lime is great, too. I’m a big fan of the water. :)

More options for a different drink without caffeine — diet tonic water — as is. Its good with a splash of juice too if you’re in the mood. Tonic water has the fizz, a fresh tart taste, and is mostly water. I don’t know if you might count quinine as a benefit or not ? Supposedly quinine is good for leg cramps if those are a bother !

    Barley tea.
    Iced green tea.
Seltzer and lemon juice with Vivarin.
