This came up in conversation over the weekend, so here’s a link to the Walk Score website to share… Our house gets a 74 out of 100. What about you?

- @shazow +1! I've always wanted a pair of Ety's, but those are a bit out of my price range. I have a knack for destroying headsets. :) 17 hours ago
- @kfury weird mental coercion going on when I read your reply: you said "better rated" and I read "over rated" my bias shows through. :) 17 hours ago
- @kfury Any thoughts on http://t.co/XFRH2uGg ? And agreed that Logitech seems overrated, but http://t.co/vl7m2eQ5 was pretty + on them. 17 hours ago

62. But we walk to things that computers apparently don’t know about.
Well, living in the boonies in NH gives you a score of 12.
The benefit is that we are surrounded by nature and wildlife- that counts right?
Not accoring to the Walk Score.
We have a walk score of 77 (Bush and Yosemite in MV). The general idea is quite interesting, though I think the implementation needs work. It only listed 8 restauants withing walking distance!!
I plugged in the address of my childhood home, which I don’t think is anywhare near as walkable as where I live now, and it got a 60.
I believe that walk score is cool, but nowadays more and more people prefer to drive cars. Homes are often located in an area where some establishments are easier to get to by car than on foot. I’ve recently found a type of service on drivescore.fizber.com which is called Drive Score. It shows a map of what establishments are in your neighborhood and calculates a Drive Score based on the number of places within a convenient driving distance.
